City Council Preview - What's on the Agenda for the September 11 Meeting?

This month's planning will have a single, straightforward new planning application to dispatch, but how will the neighbourhood residents feel about it? We'll have all night to consider it...

CLOSED MEETING: C-CON-2017.15 Guelph Junction Railway – Preliminary Operational and Governance Risk Review
89 Beachwood Avenue Proposed Zoning By-law Amendment File: ZC1706 - As if there hasn't been enough construction (or destruction) in the area of Howitt Park lately... Presently, 88 Beachwood is the site of the old Optimist Club, but if a developer has their way, it will be a new site for 34 residential townhouse units including 12 stacked townhouse units (end units) and 22 cluster townhouse units, as well as an interior courtyard, and underground parking for 57 vehicles, 54 belonging to residents and three for visitors. This is the statutory public meeting for this development and a final decision will not be made on its approval this night.
