Hillside Honoured by Festival and Events Ontario

Who doesn't love Hillside? The annual music festival at Guelph Lake has a great many admirers, and among them, it seems, are Festival and Events Ontario. Festivals, along with the organizers and volunteers of said festivals, were recognized Friday night as part of the FEO’s Annual Conference Let the Inspiration Flow in Niagara Falls, ON.
“Our government recognizes festivals and events as important economic drivers and we’re proud to support their efforts to create jobs, grow our economy and celebrate our diverse and vibrant cultural identity,” said the Honourable Michael Coteau, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport. “I am pleased to join with Festival and Events Ontario in celebrating this year’s Top 100 recipients and I congratulate them all for achieving this honour.”
Not only did Hillside make the 2015 Top 100, but it was also recognized for Best Greening of a Festival or Event ($500,000 or more), the 2015 Level of Distiction Festivals & Events in Ontario, and for the Perissinotto Family for Family Volunteer of the Year.
This year's Hillside Festival takes play July 24 to 26.
